I would like to know about the various non clinical options for a freshly graduate dentist...non clinical options here doesnt imply the various courses available after BDS...I m looking for the various job prospects with a decent pay..
You may carry on with hospital administration course after perusing MBAHM or PGDHHM or you
can do psychotherapy and counselling course and join as psychotherapist and counselor in any
multispeciality hospital
i guess hospital administration would be a good choice .,. , the industry is growing at a nice pace and is expectde to boom in 2012 ., ., there are many courses of variable durations and course modules available . ,., if u are intersted in a full time MBA then nothing better than Tata Institute and Symbiosis ., .,
Thanks for that valuable piece of information...i would like to know the other options as well...keep posting.
ur welcome doctor .,. , but let me ask you, "why are u lookin at diverging from dentistry" ., ., is it becoz u lack interest in dentistry or are u doubting the scope of the dental profession ., ,. ? ??
i m not trying to diverge from dentistry...i am interested in both clinical and nonclinical fields...i want to explore the other rare options available for a dentist...and moreover i dont want to stop studying..i am preparing for the PG entrance as well...i just want to keep options open...i would definitely like to hear more from you in case you have an advice..
Why don't u think of clinical research courses, you can find good job options
clinical research is also a viable option ., ., after the patent law there has been a spurt in the this industry ., ., the boom is yet to come ,.. , so u could opt for courses like part time diplomas/full time courses in clinical trial management, clinical research, quality assurance, medical tourism, etc ., ., the last 2 courses have also got good prospect with india becoming a hub of medical tourism and the more and more hospitals considering accrediation to promote their quality services ., ., i guess ICRI is the numero uno institute currently for such courses ., ., there are others too like CREMA, AHA, etc ., ., visit their sites ., ., get a clear picture of what u want and what they are offering ., ., contact them and visit their campus for free counselling sessions ., ., but mind you these counselling sessions are marketing gimmicks and dont get washed away by their tactics , ., stick to ur expectations and if their offer fulfills yuor expectations then give it a second thought and go for it. ,. , al da best
Thanks a lot for that valuable advice...really aprreciate it..
